What is KisanApp?

KisanApp is a free digital toolkit built specifically for Indian farmers. It brings together five of the most commonly needed farming tools in one place — MSP calculator, mandi bhav (market price) lookup, PM Kisan instalment tracker, PMFBY crop insurance guide, and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan calculator. All tools are free, require no sign-up, and work in 7 languages: Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and English.

How does the MSP Calculator work?

The MSP Calculator lets you select your crop and season (Kharif or Rabi), enter the quantity you plan to sell in quintals, kilograms, or tonnes, and instantly see your total expected income at the government's Minimum Support Price for 2025-26. It covers all 23 crops for which CCEA announces MSP and compares the current rate against the previous year so you can see how much the rate has increased.

What is Mandi Bhav and how do I use it?

Mandi bhav is the daily wholesale price at which your crop trades in APMC-regulated markets. The Mandi Bhav tool on KisanApp shows reference prices for 22 major crops across all key agricultural states, with a direct comparison against the MSP for each crop. When mandi prices are above MSP, selling in the open market is more profitable. When below, farmers should approach a government procurement centre.

How does the PM Kisan status tracker work?

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme pays eligible farmers ₹6,000 per year in three instalments of ₹2,000 each. The PM Kisan status tracker on KisanApp shows the full instalment schedule — which tranches have been paid, which are due, and which are upcoming — along with eligibility criteria, the helpline number (155261), and links to the official PM Kisan portal for checking your individual payment status.

What is PMFBY crop insurance?

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) is India's flagship crop insurance scheme. Farmers pay a maximum premium of 2% for Kharif crops, 1.5% for Rabi crops, and 5% for commercial and horticultural crops — the rest is subsidised by state and central governments. What is the KCC Calculator?

The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) calculator helps farmers estimate their loan limit, interest rate, and repayment schedule under the KCC scheme. Loans up to ₹3 lakh carry an effective interest rate of 7% per annum after a 2% government subvention, dropping further to 4% for farmers who repay on time. All farmers — individual owners, tenant farmers, sharecroppers, and SHGs — are eligible.

Do KisanApp tools work offline?

Yes. All five tools run entirely in your browser — no data is fetched from a server when you use a calculator or look up a price. Once the page has loaded, every tool works without an internet connection. This is especially important for farmers in rural areas with limited or no mobile signal. Use KisanApp in the field, at the mandi, or anywhere connectivity is unreliable. Nothing you enter is stored or shared.
